A hypnotherapy session is a psychotherapy session conducted while the client is in hypnotic trance. Hypnotic trance is the natural process of shifting back and forth between the subconscious and conscious mind. It occurs during the day to all of us when the mind wanders or slips into a daydream. In hypnosis we control and direct this process, helping the patient move into an altered state where profound insight is available.

Hypnosis uses deep relaxation and the power of suggestion to assist the client in reframing negative and unwanted habitual patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving with positive, healthy, and empowering choices.

This form of hypnotherapy addresses the body, mind, and spirit as it combines different treatment modalities, including hypnosis, developmental psychology, humanistic psychology, behavior modification, adult ego strengthening, and energetic release work.

Each session lasts approximately one to one and one-half hours.
